Friends of Bob McCook,
As you may already know, our brother Bob has been steadily deteriorating under the affects of Alzheimer’s. The wretched disease has robbed him of a fruitful life and has added tremendous burden to Maureen. In order to obtain the necessary full time care, we have been requested to remove Bob from the payroll of Priority One.
Bob has blessed so many lives through his ministry with Young Life (1968) and his establishment of Priority One in 1985. As I recently stood worshiping with 360 men at Lake Champion, I was reminded of the vision and commitment Bob gave us to introduce Christ into the lives of men. My life was profoundly impacted by Bob through his desire that men could live better with Christ at the center. So, with a sad heart, the Priority One Board will cease to accept donations for Bob immediately. All donations that exist in his account will be forwarded to Bob as a retirement bonus.
We are pleased, however, to announce that New Life Community Church, formerly Memorial Baptist, one of Bob’s long time partners, has a solution. The church, as a matter of policy, continues to support their missionary families in the event of disablement or death. Therefore, they have willingly accepted the responsibility of conveyancing your regular contribution to Bob and Maureen through the church. Contributions received will be recorded by the church and an annual accounting will be sent to you. This means that you can claim, as in the past, a charitable deduction.
Checks should be made out to New Life Community Church (NLCC) and sent to 2680 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Please write in the memo line of your check, McCook Ministry. Contributions will be sent to Maureen McCook at her home.
Thank you for your continued support of Bob and Maureen. They covet your prayers as they face this challenging time of life. Please contact me if you should have any questions.
