Tom’s history includes driving tractor trailer, over-the-road for twenty-one years, logging nearly two million miles. On the weekends, he and his wife Cindy volunteered in their church, serving in youth ministry, preaching, teaching, leading worship and wherever else needed. In 2001, Tom was led back to school, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University (now Cairn). Shortly after returning to school he was invited to apply for the Youth Pastor position in his church which he held for fourteen years.

Tom returned to school at Biblical Theological Seminary and received a Master’s Degree in Counseling in 2008. He was available to the church family for counseling and also maintained a private practice seeing clients outside of the church.

Tom completed his counseling internship in drug and alcohol rehab at Life Counseling/Rehab After Work where he ran both adolescent as well as adult groups. His heart has been for those addicted and he now currently leads a men’s group for those struggling with pornography addiction and sexual brokenness. He believes this is one of the greatest issues facing the church today and will be into the future.

Finally, in 2012, Tom traveled to Africa to visit a mission organization called Start With One Kenya to investigate taking teams. The Lord has since allowed him to take five missions teams to Kenya. They have organized water filter distributions, building projects and various other projects as the Lord leads. Tom plans to introduce Priority One in the Nakuru area this year to help raise up leaders among the men and assist with pastoral training.

The common thread throughout his years of ministry has been a passion to see men find freedom and transformation through the power of Christ. This has been facilitated largely as a result of one-on-one discipleship and small group ministry. Tom has led a men’s Bible study at his church for ten years that focuses on transparency, honesty and a real- life application of the Word of God.

Tom’s Interests
Tom still maintains his private counseling business and even continues to drive tractor trailer part-time for a local farmer – helping out in the fall harvest and delivering corn and soy beans to the market.

Next to his relationship with Jesus, Tom’s greatest joy is his 43-year marriage to Cindy. Tom and Cindy came to Christ in a dramatic conversion at age 24, already having almost lost their marriage. Their hearts beat for people to deeply know Christ and the freedom He alone can bring to broken marriages and relationships.

They are long-time residents of Thornton, PA. They love spending time with their four grown children and eight grandchildren!
Tom is an avid reader and cyclist. He enjoys almost anything that gets him outside! Among his favorite and most recommended books for men are,

Wild at Heart by John Eldredge (also, Waking the Dead, Sacred Romance and others)
Radical by David Platt
Hearing God by Dallas Willard (and pretty much anything Willard has written)
The Faith of Leap by Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch
