BACKGROUND

I was born in 1973 and raised by a single mother in a home with no church involvement and no faith foundation. I did not meet my father until I was 13 years old, an experience that would later help shape my understanding of the importance of strong, godly men. At the age of 22, I married my wife on May 20, 1995. She had a church background and faithfully invited me to attend church with her. Through her influence and God's grace, I was placed in an environment where I could hear the Gospel and begin to understand who Jesus was.

On December 8, 1995, I surrendered my life to Christ and was born again. What started as simply attending church with my wife became a life-changing encounter with the saving grace of Jesus Christ. God has blessed our marriage with children, born when I was 25 and 28 years old. In 2020, I experienced the loss of my mother after a battle with cancer. Through every season of marriage, parenting, loss, and growth, God has proven Himself faithful.

While I was genuinely saved in 1995, there were still areas of my life where I needed healing and freedom. In March of 2016, I attended a Marked Men for Christ weekend. That experience became a significant milestone in my spiritual journey. At MMFC, I discovered what true healing and freedom in Christ looked like. God revealed areas of my heart that needed His touch and showed me what it means to live as a beloved son of the Most High God. The freedom I experienced there deepened my relationship with Jesus and transformed how I viewed myself, my family, and my purpose.

Over the years, God has provided numerous opportunities to serve His Church and invest in the lives of others.

My ministry experience includes:

  • Teaching children's and adult Sunday School classes

  • Serving in youth leadership roles

  • Leading a Young Adult ministry alongside my wife for five years

  • Leading a men's prayer group for our Lead Pastor for many years

  • Serving as a Marked Men for Christ Co-Leader in Training

  • Serving on prayer, technology, security, and discipleship teams

  • Serving on various church leadership, pastoral search committees, and support committees

Currently, I serve on the prayer team, men’s prayer group, security team, Outreach and Community Life pastoral support team, stewardship advocate, and technology team as Lead Projection Technician.

While I have served in many different roles, my greatest passion is not programs or committees. My heart is for discipleship. I love doing life with men in small groups, teaching God's Word, helping men grow in their relationship with Jesus, and encouraging them to become the husbands, fathers, leaders, and disciples God has called them to be.

My wife often jokes that I am one of our pastor's "right-hand men," but I simply consider it a privilege to serve wherever God opens the door.

I am saved by grace and free as a son of the Most High God. My desire is to help other men experience that same freedom, healing, and transformation through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
